To import a Postico favorite file, just drag it on the Favorites window from the Finder. You can also drag them on the Postico app icon. It does that "pick a relation and show me relationships a couple degrees of separation" thing. PG Commander favorite files are also compatible with Postico. It inspects an existing database and creates documentation based on what it finds. Its not a database design GUI or anything like that. The open source diagramming tool I use is called SchemaSpy ( ).

Postico on the other hand, is a very modern Mac app. The only downside is that the cross-plattform UI really doesn’t live up to the expectations of a native Mac app. It has support for almost every feature in PostgreSQL. Over the course of my career I've been pretty database centric in the work that I do. Postico pgAdmin 4 is a feature rich open source PostgreSQL client.
